Privacy and terms
The shop's wheel app. Last updated 4 November 2026.
Who we are
This app is run by the shop. If you have a question about your information, contact us. The shop is responsible for your information; Wheel Visualiser runs the app for the shop and handles your information only on the shop's behalf.
What we collect, and why
- A photo of your car (if you add one): used only to show the wheels on your car. To find the wheels in it, a smaller copy is sent to Google's AI (Gemini); we don't keep it, and Google's terms for paid services say it isn't used to train their models. Google may keep it for a short time only to check for misuse. Your last photo is saved on your own phone so you can come back to it; it doesn't leave your phone for that. The same goes for My looks (AI photos made for you and looks you keep with the heart): they're saved only on your phone, and you can delete them there any time.
- A price request (if you send one): your name, phone or email, the wheels and sizes you chose, your number plate if you give it, and a picture of your car with the wheels. These go to us so we can reply. We keep them until we've dealt with your request and then delete them.
- Your car on the shop's TV (only with your OK): staff may photograph your car side-on and show it on the shop's TV screen with new wheels drawn on while they work, with a code to open it on your phone. The picture is kept only until the end of that day, the number plate area is blurred, and staff take it off at once if you ask.
- Sale alerts (if you ask for one): the alert address your phone gives and the wheel you chose, so your phone can be told when that wheel goes on special. Nothing else is sent, and only for that wheel. Tap Stop, or turn notifications off on your phone, to end them; we forget it after 180 days.
- Visit counts: whether a visit used the 3D showroom, tried a photo, saved or shared a picture, or sent a request, which link it came from (for example our shop's QR code), and which wheels, rim sizes, tyre types and car models were looked at, counted with no name, phone number, address or photo attached. We use this to see if the app is useful. Kept for four months.
- On your own phone only: your last photo and its wheel positions, the looks you keep, and the name, phone, email and plate from your last price request (so the next one is quick). These never leave your phone unless you send a request; clearing the browser's site data removes them.
We don't sell your information, and we don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Where it is kept
Price requests and visit counts are stored with Cloudflare, which runs the app. You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time, under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
Terms of use
- Pictures are a guide. The 3D cars and photo try-ons show the look; colours, sizes and how far a wheel sits out can differ from real life.
- Fit checks are a guide. We check bolt pattern, centre bore, size and offset against typical figures for your model. We confirm fitment on your actual car before fitting anything.
- AI photos are for people 18 and over, as Google's terms for its AI require. Google's AI also finds the wheels in a photo you add.
- Prices are a guide until we confirm them with your quote. Stock can change.
- Changing wheel or tyre size can affect your speedo, warrant of fitness and insurance; we'll talk you through it.
- Car names are trade marks of their owners, used only to show which wheels fit. We're not connected with any car maker.
